साड़ीयो पे जीएसटी की क्या दर है?

Saree and other Indian fabric style dressing materials such as Lungi, Silk saree, Banarasi sarees etc. were exempted from taxes till date.

Are they taxed under GST and at what rate they are taxed?

Readymade garments to attract 12% GST; Yarn and fabric cotton 5 per cent.

Natural yarn to be taxed at 5 per cent, man-made yarn at 18 per cent.

This makes it clear that sarees will be taxed. Will further edit the answer based on any clarification.

GST on saree in hindi

जीएसटी साड़ियों के ऊपर साफ़ साफ़ घोषित नहीं हुआ है लेकिन फ़िलहाल जो रिपोर्ट है उसके हिसाब से साड़ीयों पे ५% की दर से कर देना होगा।

Indian fabric wears such as Saree, lungi etc. were exempted from taxes. However government has taxed them under GST with 5% tax rate.

It is a welcoming step by government to charge GST on these items.

The whole purpose of GST will get defeated if items are exempted or taxed at different rates.
