Hi,

Can somebody provide me format of authorisation letter for authorising a director or a partner for registering for GST.

What board resolution needs to be passed for authorising a director/partner to sign on behalf of company/partnership firm?

Whether this authorisation letter needs to be signed by all directors/partners?

Please be specific. You need for a company or firm. For both its different. In case of companies you need to have board resolution also. - Pulkit Sharma
Write, question should be strictly point to point. I think one of the answer, possible first one has the format for a company. You can use that. - GST Payer

Hi try the below link, it has authorisation letter format for a company.

GST registration procedure

Here are some more formats:

Authorisation by one partner to another partner

I ………………………… one the partner of firm……………………………. hereby authorize ………………………………………….. partner/authorized signatory to sign and do needful for the purpose of migration to GST

For ……………………………………

Sign & sealed

[Partner]

Actually there is no standard format for company, you can use standard board resolution format and above format for partnership firms.

Even authorising in other format is fine, purpose should be to authorise and you can use your own format.

Comments:

This format should solve the issue. Any how there is no standard format and one can have his own format with meaning to solve the purpose of authorisation. - Pulkit Sharma
New registration rules have the format. - Rahul Rai
