Hi,

I am starting my small retail store from a rented commercial place in Bangalore. My products would range from decorative items to cosmetics. I plan to procure them from locally. My wholeseller is giving me choices to buy products with or without GST Bill. As I am a very new businessman, I have not yet registered for GST.

My query -

1) Should I buy with GST bill from him by paying tax or without GST Bill ?

2) As I am not GST Registered, how should I bill my customer ? With GST or without GST ?

3) Lets say for Eg. I buy a product of Rs.100 and pay 18%GST to my wholeseller, which now costs me Rs.118. What would be the impact of me selling the product for Rs. 200.

As per my understanding, Without bill I earn profit or 100.00 and with bill I only earn a profit of Rs.82. How registering for GST helps me here ?

Hope someone helps me here.

Next week I plan to open my Store.

Thanks in Advance

Here the profit is not only concern. Obeying the law and leaving a peaceful life is bigger question.

As a responsible citizen your first duty is to buy goods with a proper bill.

The person who is offering your goods without bill is a defaulter, if you want to be a defaulter and carry on with guilt, go ahead.

Even you know the answer.
