One of the details asked in GSTR-3B is the summary of interstate sales done to Composition Dealer.

How do we come to know if a person is regular or composite dealer?. We cannot solely rely on the info provided by the customer, because as per my personal experience many small traders, are not well versed with the terms, all they tell is we have to ask their auditor. The problem comes, when we have lots of customers.

Is there any method to check the same in portal ?

Yes, you can check it on GST portal. There is link for it.

Click on Search Taxpayer link in GST portal. You can search every registered person there.

It is really a pain to ask each customer and collect these details. Think of a situation, suppose when you asked to the customer whether he is under composition or regular scheme and he answered composition scheme.

But after 10 days he migrated to normal scheme. Will you ask each customer again after every month.

It is a real concern.
