A trader dealing only in exempted goods or where his turnover is below Rs 20 lakh in the financial year, but not engaged in inter-state supplies, is not required to register under GST," Adhia said here. What does he mean?

Please Clarify, whether a dealer doing inter state business of exclusively exempt goods needs to register or not .

You need to have registration if you are engaged in interstate outward supply.
