Municipalities have a right to charge Advertisement Tax as per Kerala Municipalities Act 1994 Sec.271 in Kerala. It is a fees charged for the use of public places to fix advertisements in the municipality. Is there any change in the advertisement tax after the implimentation of GST
Yes GST is applicable on every service provided even provided by government, except if specifically exempted by council.
Advertisement by municipality is not exempted, so GST will be charged.
