Yes, you should show gifts received from relative or any other person.

ITR has tables for all incomes including agriculture income, exempt income, other sources etc. Show under suitable heading.

From my understanding, a cash gift received from a brother is generally not taxable under Indian income tax law because gifts from specified relatives are exempt; however, much like maintaining clarity and transparency in a slope game where every move must be visible, I believe it is still advisable to disclose the transaction in the ITR under the appropriate exempt income or disclosure section to avoid future scrutiny, while also preserving proper documentation—such as a gift deed, bank transfer proof, and identity details—to substantiate the source if questioned.
