31 March 2018 is the last date to file income tax return, however system is asking for Aadhar number and not allowing to file Income tax return without Aadhar number.

Those who do not have Aadhar number, how can they file their IT returns.

Further supreme court has extended the date to June 2018 for linking of Aadhar.

I heard from a source that if you are not able to file it return without Aadhar, you can fill IT forms and send it to IT department along with payment challan and signature.

This should solve the purpose, hopefully.

You cannot file IT returns without Aadhar number.

You should either have Aadhar number or Aadhar enrollment number.

Supreme court has extended date for linking to beneficial schemes. Filing it return is not a scheme.

Further IT department has been asking for Aadhar linking from a very long time.

Those who do not have Aadhar number will not be able to file return unless government makes any changes on its website or extends date for filing of IT returns. Chances of any extension are very low, lets wait and watch.
