What is tentative balance sheet?

Tentative balance sheet means un-audited balance sheet. You can prepare 3 months, 6 months or yearly tentative balance sheet.

Tentative Balance Sheet, as per its name itself, is a non-legal/non-binding document. The validity of the same depends on many factors such who requires it, why its required, how much period covered, CA certified or not etc. As such, there is no limitation to making a tentative balance sheet.
