GST Council has decided that E-Way Bill to be made compulsory from 1st Feb., 2018 on Inter-State Supply of Goods.
As of now each state has their own E-way bill system.
Hopefully things will get sorted out on the decided date and confusion over E-way bill will be made away with.
Any how dealers are going to suffer a lot, At present when the E way bill cant be generated due to site problem and the lorry is ready for move, and this happens when the way bill depends on a state level website and now when it comes to nation level website where there will be lakhs of way bill to be generated in a single moment .. its going to be .......................................
E way bill - Doubt is whether the supplier has to generate or the customer has to generate and send by mail to supplier , just like at present we have for Telanganna, Gujarath, M.P. , Karnataka..
Good news in a way that as of now each state has their own system and their is no uniformity.
E-way bill system at GST portal will clear the confusion.
How the GST portal will be able to handle such a huge pressure when it is not stable even now.
Public is ready to wait but government should not come up with another chaos creating solution.
